Started making one piece of art every day in 2014. The project is ongoing and changes at the beginning of each year.
daily cards from 2015
Drawings were made in a variety of colours using acrylic markers with no particular structure. All cards were either sold or gifted.
daily cards from 2016
Acrylic marker colours were chosen for each week using using a system involving dice. All cards were either sold or gifted.
daily cards from 2017
An underlying pattern of black and grey was planned out before the beginning of the year. Dice rolls were used to determine the acrylic marker foreground colours. All cards were either sold or gifted.
daily pieces from 2018
Laser cut wood pieces were prepared before the beginning of the year. Dice rolls determined the acrylic marker colours to be used for each week. The work was exhibited at einBuch.haus the following year with the pieces assembled into clusters representing the days spent at a particular place. The complete set remains undistributed.
daily circle, squares from 2019
Hand torn circle and squares. A dice and a coin toss were used to determine colours used. Pictured above are the pairs numbered #1815 through #1822. The complete set remains undistributed.
daily shapes 2020
During 2019 filled several 12 cm x 12 cm sketch books with a black shape every day for the entire year. This was done simultaneously with the circle squares. At the beginning of 2020 these drawings were finished by augmenting the black shapes with a white marker. The drawings were provided with a second numbering in addition to the one they share with the circle and square pieces. All the books remain undistributed and will likely be kept as a resource for future derivative works.
daily shapes 2021
Continuing with the book format from the previous year a shape was cut from the pages each day and a short video was shot to document each one. The complete set including the books and the cut shapes remain undistributed.

daily speed 2022
Small and short digital animation loops, painted frame by frame on a mobile device. Shown here are #3118, #3116 and #3121. Due to the digital native nature of these works they were published to the tezos blockchain on objkt.com.
daily ambiguity 2023
Using the artificial image generation tool DALL-E used the out painting tool to expand a still image from the animations made during the previous year. As the prompt used some impressionistic text that was written in response to the animation. At the time, and probably as of this writing, these tools generally don’t respond well to ambiguity, hence the title of the years project. Given the digital native aspect this series was also published on objkt.com.
daily drawing 2024
After two years of doing the work digitally felt a strong need to return to physical drawing. Black acrylic marker on 15 cm x 15 cm paper. This series remains undistributed. Some derivatives of the work were scanned and made into digitally augmented pieces, a music releases and comics. Drawings shown were from the latter part of the year: #3835, #3836, #3837, #3838, #3839, #3840, #3841, #3842 and #3843.
daily cut & draw 2025
Currently in progress. Using the same paper as in 2024, have been cutting out shapes and then drawing around the holes. The final work is a digital photo that is held in front of either an existing artwork, photos from the news, wherever happen to be traveling, artworks derived from the shapes cut from previous days or the shapes from the drawing itself. Shown are #3892, #3897, #4006 and #4039.
