I have been writing some copy on my experiences at LUNCHMEAT. It roughly outlines the monumental effort that the LUNCHMEAT crew had undertaken for a first time run of a festival.
Much highlighted here is the centerpiece of the festival that would be Nosaj Thing vs. Aalto. It was everything it was meant to be. As for the Torrent de Bites set, we went on quite late but it was still a great experience in the tradition of ‘the show must go on.’
A group of drawings was selected. Each drawing represents an idea created at a point in time. The idea is an emotion or expression of a particular state of mind, with all that may be in its conscious or sub-conscious state. Standing inside the projected image with and sometimes without knowing what drawing is displayed a gesture is selected. The goal being to try to augment the drawing with a physical presence. The mask obscures the face so that the lines of the drawing become the facial expression.
Video created on February 13th will be on display at the Cafe, Cliche Brünn in Brno, Czech Rep. from February 14th through next month.
Recently another name was given. It was originally ‘pacifier’ but it was modified almost immediately. During a later party this composition came from almost nowhere fro everything.
